Sunday Night Thoughts: Why Making Time For Self-Care Should Be A Priority Sunday night thoughts: Sometimes when we have a lot on our plate, we easily make excuses to put our self-care last. This is a HUGE mistake. Yes, the 30 minutes it takes to get a workout in is 30 minutes you could be doing X, Y, or Z. For me, I could have been working on my dissertation or the million other things I need to do. Let me tell you why I chose to workout instead. I know that my morning routine is EVERYTHING to me functioning well throughout the day. I am more efficient, energized, and productive because of it. So ya, it took 30 minutes, but it made the rest of the day go by so much more smoothly because I took that time to focus on myself and my health.
